Stacey’s classes focus on optimal physical alignment, breath-linked movement, and heart-oriented themes that empower students to explore their fullest potential both on and off the mat. All classes and workshops below are held at Capitol Hill Yoga unless otherwise indicated.

Yogahour is an accessible, inexpensive ($10), expertly-taught fast-paced yoga class that offers clear and specific alignment instructions for each pose in order to promote safety. Yogahour classes are held in a ‘warm’ room (80 degrees), and each class is set to a unique soundtrack. Yogahour is an ideal class for anyone who seeks to get fit and get flexible in the context of fun. It is not ideal for students with injuries or significant limitations.
Essentials is the ideal class for students new to yoga or for those wishing to enhance their basic knowledge of foundational yoga postures, key actions and principles of alignment. Each class begins with a centering followed by a warm up designed to link breath and movement and open up the major parts of the body. The class proceeds into guiding students into basic yoga postures that invigorate the body through increased strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Special attention is paid to easing into postures and finding proper alignment. Each class ends with a cool down followed by a final, deep relaxation.
Edge builds on the poses and principles learned in our Expanding classes. Students will refine standing poses and strengthen preparations for backbends, inversions, and arm balances. Full versions of these challenging poses will be playfully introduced and skillfully taught. Edge is an ideal class for students looking to break a sweat and work at your personal edge. This class is not appropriate for students with injuries or significant limitations.
